OC Transpo spring service takes effect Sunday

OTTAWA – The OC Transpo spring service takes effect Sunday, Apr. 22 and will implement some route changes.

New trips and articulated buses will be added to several routes to accommodate more transit users.

While many routes will change to accommodate more riders, some routes will also begin a seasonal route change which will see a reduction in stops.  Others will be modified to minimize the walking distance between stops.

The O-Train will be reduced to run every 30 minutes after 9:00 p.m. Monday to Saturday, and all day Sunday.

With the spring service, comes the return of Rack & Roll on routes: 12, 85, 94, 95, 96, 97, 99, 101, 106 and 118, or any of the 350 OC Transpo buses equipped with bike racks.

University U-Pass holders be aware-the U-Pass will expire Apr. 30.

For live updates, interactive maps, favorite routes and stops, there’s an app for that.
