67’s drop Game 4 to the IceDogs

OTTAWA – Despite holding a 2-1 lead in the 3rd period, the Ottawa 67’s were unable to hang on and win Game 4. The Niagara IceDogs scored four goals in the 3rd period en route to a 5-2 victory. With the win, Niagara takes a commanding 3-1 series lead back to St. Catharines for Game 5.
The 67’s started the game strongly. Dalton Smith scored a shorthanded goal to give Ottawa a 1-0 lead after the first period.
Niagara rebounded late in the 2nd period with Andrew Agozzino making it 1-1 after 40 minutes.
Tyler Toffoli reclaimed Ottawa’s lead early in the 3rd period, but it was all downhill from there for the 67’s.
The IceDogs scored four consecutive goals, including two from David Pacan, to take the 5-2 win.
On a good note for Ottawa, goalie Petr Mrazek made his return in net after missing Game 3 with the flu.
The 67’s will face the possibility of elimination in Game 5 on Friday.
