OPP are investigating the drowning death of a man in the Ottawa River near Foresters Falls.
Police were called to Wilderness Tours Saturday evening at around 6:20 pm. 28-year-old Thang Duc Ngo was unresponsive after he was pulled from the water.
Paramedics and Wilderness Tours staff were unable to revive him and he was declared dead at the scene.
OPP Constable Janice Sawbridge said they are hoping to get answers once the post-mortem is conducted.
“We’re now investigating this simply as a death investigation,” said Sawbridge. “The death is not considered suspicious and no foul play is suspected.”
“It appears to be an accidental drowning death.”
The man went missing during a break in the rafting, where people are free to swim and relax.
