Fire destroys Manotick bakery

OTTAWA, Ont. – A fire has destroyed a bakery in Manotick.

Ottawa fire crews were called to 1138 Tighe St. around 11:15 p.m. Sunday. There were reports of heavy smoke coming from the building.

There were no injuries and the cause is still under investigation.

Damage is estimated at $450,000.

Manotick Main Street between Mill and O’Grady Streets had been closed overnight but has since reopened.
