Music Monday celebrated across Canada

OTTAWA – Today is Music Monday; a day to raise awareness about the importance of music education.

Astronaut Chris Hadfield helped commemorate Music Monday when he joined hundreds of thousands of students from across Canada, including around 400 Ottawa students who gathered at the Aviation Museum.

Hadfield performed I.S.S. (Is Somebody Singing), a song Hadfield co-wrote with Ed Robertson of the Barenaked Ladies.

Today’s webcast was Hadfield’s final live connection with Earth before he returns home from the International Space Station.
