Brazeau assault case held until October

GATINEAU, Que. – Senator Patrick Brazeau’s case has been held over until October 19.

In a Gatineau court appearance Monday morning, his lawyers said they need more time to prepare, as well as look over police photos, according to the Citizen.

The short appearance only lasted a few minutes and Brazeau was not present.

He has pleaded not guilty to charges of assault and sexual assault after a domestic dispute call to his home in Gatineau in early February. He has been out of bail.

Brazeau along with two other Senators are also under RCMP investigation into their Senate expense claims.
