Highway 138 closed by collision

MONKLAND, Ont. – A major route for travellers headed to Cornwall is closed because of a serious collision.

Highway 138 is closed between County Road 43 and Gravel Hill Road – that’s just north of the village of Monkland.

One person was seriously hurt in the crash, around 1:30 p.m., between a pickup truck and a car.

Highway 138 was expected to remain closed through the afternoon, as accident reconstruction investigators pieced together what happened.
