Fewer boaters using Rideau Canal

The Rideau Canal has seen a significant decrease in the number of boaters using the waterway this year.
Parks Canada figures show traffic is down almost one-third for May and June compared to last year.
Parks Canada said May and June was colder this year, and is expecting the numbers to increase with the warmer weather.
However, boaters are blaming new rules and shorter hours of operation at lockstations.
