Spy devices found at old Nortel campus

OTTAWA – Electronic bugs have been found in the old Nortel campus. Listening devices have been discovered, in some cases, deep in the walls of the building.

What is not known is what the bugs where used for; to eavesdrop on future federal government tenants or leftovers from high-tech espionage.

According to the Citizen, the discovery has prompted new fears about the security of the building. Last year, Nortel was found to be a target of industrial spying for a decade.

The campus is currently being converted for federal government use.
