Rolling overnight closures on the Queensway to accomate expansion project

OTTAWA – Portions of the Queensway will close for 15 minute intervals beginning Tuesday morning for several overnights, and will last until Saturday, December 14. The 417 will be closed between 1- 4 a.m.
The full closures from Monday, Dec 9 to Saturday, Dec 14:
- Hwy 417 in both directions between Parkdale Avenue and Rochester Street
- Hwy 417 westbound between Walkley Road and the CNR overpass
- Hwy 174 westbound between Montreal Road and Blair Road
Tuesday, Dec 10 to Wednesday, Dec 11
- Hwy 417 in both directions between Colonel By Drive and the Vanier Parkway
In addition to the above lane reductions and closures, the following access ramps will experience overnight closures:
Monday, Dec 9 to Friday, Dec 13
- Northbound St. Laurent Boulevard on-ramp to Hwy 417 westbound
- Southbound St. Laurent Boulevard on-ramp to Hwy 417 eastbound – this closure will not occur simultaneously with the
- Southbound Vanier Parkway on-ramp to Hwy 417 eastbound closure.
- Hwy 417 eastbound off-ramp to St. Laurent Boulevard
Tuesday, Dec 10 to Wed, Dec 11 (these closures will not occur simultaneously)
- Northbound Vanier Parkway on-ramp to Hwy 417 eastbound
- Southbound Vanier Parkway on-ramp to Hwy 417 eastbound
OPP and signage will assist motorists with detours, but police advise drivers to find alternate routes.
