Thousands left in the dark Monday in Kanata power outage

OTTAWA –A power outage in Kanata left many homes and businesses in the dark Monday.

A total of 15,000 residents in the Eagleson, Hazeldean, Terry Fox and Bridlewood areas were left in the dark for several hours in the afternoon.

All power was later restored in the area.

Hydro Ottawa said the cause of the outage was equipment related.
