Residents concerned about Lansdowne shuttle bus plan

OTTAWA – Residents of the Glebe fired a barrage of questions at traffic planners dealing with upcoming events at Lansdowne Park.

About 150 people who live along, and near Lakeside Avenue attended a public meeting Tuesday night. They told officials they are worried about the 80 to 90 buses that would drive down their street, shuttling fans to events at TD Place.

The City of Ottawa says it seems like the best option, and after the first four Ottawa Redblacks games, the plan will be revisited to make sure it is working.

Another open house is being held July 6 for residents in the area to voice their concerns.
