2014 RBC Royal Bank Bluesfest kicks off

OTTAWA – The capital’s biggest music festival kicks off Thursday at Lebreton Flats.

The 20th edition of RBC Royal Bank Bluesfest has a little something for everyone, and gets things started with some country, including Canadian country star Dean Brody and opening night headliner Blake Shelton.

Canadian twins Tegan and Sara will also take the stage opening night.

Over 300,000 people are expected this year. In order to ease congestion, the Claridge Stage has been moved from the centre of the lawn facing the war museum to the eastern end of the festival grounds. The box office has also been moved to the centre of the field.

OC Transpo has increased service on routes 94, 95, 96, 97 and 98 to encourage you to take the bus to the festival.

Bluesfest 2014 runs July 3 to 13 at Lebreton Flats.
