25-year-old man found dead in Ottawa’s Britannia Beach

On Sept. 8, the Ottawa Police Service received reports of a man who entered the water at Britannia Beach but wasn’t seen resurfacing.
Emergency responders began searching as soon as they arrived around 7:54 p.m., starting where the man was last seen. Later that evening, The Ottawa Police Marine, Dive and Trails unit found the 25-year-old man dead.
Police say that no foul play or suspicious circumstances are suspected.
Officials say that if more sharable information becomes available, they will release an update.
