Hamilton on top of 2nd practice, but stops on track with engine problems at British GP

SILVERSTONE, England – Lewis Hamilton has topped the times ahead of Mercedes teammate and Formula One leader Nico Rosberg in the second practice at the British Grand Prix.

Hamilton, world champion in 2008, clocked a best lap in 1 minute, 34.508 seconds, to outpace Rosberg by 0.228 seconds on Friday. But Hamilton then stopped on the track after an hour of the 90-minute session with an engine problem.

Two-time champion Fernando Alonso was third quickest for Ferrari.
