OTTAWA – It has been one month since Brandon Volpi, 18, was killed in front of Les Suites Hotel downtown, and police admit the suspect in the case could be anywhere.
A Canada-wide warrant was issued for the arrest of Devontay Hackett, 18, in the days after the St. Patrick High student was killed during a post-prom party in the early morning hours of June 7.
Police say they have received many tips but no solid leads in finding the man who they initially believed could still be in the Ottawa area.
Hackett, who is wanted for second degree murder, is considered armed and dangerous.
He is described as:
-having light brown skin
-6’0″ tall
-135 lbs.
-short brown hair
-brown eyes
Anyone with information is asked to call police.
