Pride Parade rolls through Ottawa Sunday

OTTAWA – Ottawa’s most colourful festival is underway, ending with the non-stop, dusk-til-dawn Pride Weekend August 22-24.
The 10-day festival has featured parties, boat cruises, drag shows and discussion groups, and wraps with the Pride Parade on Sunday, August 24 at 1 p.m. There are 75,000 spectators expected for the parade.
The parade starts at the intersection of Bank and Gladstone Streets and travels through the downtown core, along Bank Street, turning onto Laurier Avenue to end at Ottawa City Hall’s Marion Dewar Plaza at 3 p.m.
Capital Pride is one of Ottawa’s biggest festivals, featuring more than 75 events.
