OTTAWA – Grants available for Ontario-based female entrepreneurs, employment insurance premium cuts for small businesses, the federal government’s proposed changes to sick leave for its members and ways to get your kids to practice music more are some of the topics being discussed on Talk to the Hand.
Friday’s show rundown:
-CFIB President Dan Kelly talks to Ed about the federal government’s announced EI premium reduction for small business.
-RBC Senior economist Robert Hogue talks to Ed about its new report showing Ontario’s economy is expected to grow for the rest of the year.
-Elaine Rusk, Vice President of The Royal Conservatory Certificate Program, talks to Ed about ways to get your kids to practice music more.
-Shannon Passero of the Women’s Business Grant program talks to Ed about grants available for Ontario-based female entrepreneurs.
-P-SAC president Robyn Benson talks to Ed about her concerns over the federal government’s proposed changes to sick leave for it’s members.
-Rick Smith, executive director of the Broadbent Institute, talks to Ed about its latest report on wealth distribution.
-Alexandre Laurin of the CD Howe Institute talks to Ed about his study suggesting Canadians would save more for retirement if improvements were made to RRSP’s.
