Fuel leak contained in Orleans

OTTAWA — Ottawa Fire Department Hazmat crews have contained a fuel leak in Orleans.

A transport truck began leaking fuel just after 2 pm Thursday at 1419 Innes Road, near the Blackburn Bypass.

About 75 litres of fuel ended up on the ground. 5 to 10 litres is believed to have made its way into Green’s Creek.

The Ministry of Environment has been called to the scene.
