Iconic nightclub Zaphod’s sold

OTTAWA — The owner of Zaphod Beeblebrox has announced the iconic local music venue has been sold.

Eugene Haslam said in a statement he sold the club to a staff member.

Haslam will officially retire Janurary 31, 2016 and the new owner will take over the day after.

Haslam founded the venue in 1989, and it has operated out of its current location since 1992.
