Local filmmaker killed in Belize

OTTAWA – Filmmaker Matthiew Klinck has been found dead outside a home in Belize where he was living.
Belize police confirmed to 1310 NEWS that his body was found in the Village of Selena around 8:40 p.m. Monday.
Reports suggest he had been stabbed multiple times and the home ransacked, though Klinck’s camera equipment was untouched.
Klinck, 37, was the founder and president of Make Belize Films, which according to the company’s website, provided entertainment products and services for clients around the world.
According to Klinck’s Facebook page, he is from Aylmer and attended Glebe Collegiate Institute in Ottawa between 1993 and ’95.
He moved to San Ignacio, Belize in 2011.
