Carbon monoxide prompts building evacuation

OTTAWA — A residential high-rise in Vanier was evacuated Tuesday morning after a dangerous level of carbon monoxide was found inside.

Crews were called to the building at 7 Marquette Avenue around 9:30 a.m. after detectors went off.

Residents were sheltered in OC Transpo buses and have since been let back inside.

There are no injuries.
