Police hunt for knife-wielding thief

OTTAWA – Police are looking for a knife-wielding thief who tried to rob the cosmetics section of downtown drug store on January 19.
It happened at around 3 p.m. in the 100 block of Bank Street.
Police say the man was spotted stealing items, and when confronted by a store employee, he pulled out a large knife.
After a brief struggle, the man fled the store southbound on Kent Street.
The suspect is described as:
-35-45-years-old
-150 Ibs.
-5’7″ to 5’10”
-skinny build
He also wore a dark winter jacket, a white knitted tuque, blue jeans, white sneakers and sunglasses.
