1 dead, 2 seriously hurt in NYC crane collapse

NEW YORK -New York City’s fire department says one person is dead and two others are seriously injured following a crane collapse in Lower Manhattan.
People in the Tribeca neighbourhood have been tweeting pictures of the crane laying on top of several parked cars.
The crane collapsed just before 8:30 a.m., Friday, landing across an intersection and stretching over much of a block.
Multiple gas leaks are reported, and there are over 130 firefighters on scene.
