Fire on Hull’s Plateau displaces five

GATINEAU, Que. — A house fire in Hull’s Plateau neighbourhood has displaced five people.
The fire began around 9:30 p.m., Monday, in a the home, on rue de la Civilisation. Firefighters had the blaze under control in just over an hour.
The Red Cross is assisting four adults and one child who live in the home.
Damage from the fire is estimated at around $40,000.
No word yet what caused the fire.
