Two freed after serious head-on collision in west end

OTTAWA — Two people are in serious but stable condition after a head-on crash in the Ottawa’s west end Tuesday afternoon.

The collision happened at March Road and Bear Hill Road at 3:15 p.m.

Firefighters extricated one person from each vehicle after one person was pinned under the vehicle’s dash.

Paramedics said one person was treated for a fractured collar bone and another with a fractured ankle.

Emergency vehicles are scene and traffic is being rerouted.
