OTTAWA – RBC Royal Bank Bluesfest is getting nostalgic!
The Monkees Mickey Dolenz and Peter Tork are performing on the main stage Thursday at 7 p.m., before country singer Sam Hunt closes out the night at 9:30 p.m. Also performing Thursday: Awolnation, Meghan Patrick, Lindsaey Stirling, PUP, Rebelle and the Jesse Greene Band.
This year’s big headliner Red Hot Chilli Peppers will headline the festival Friday night, and you may be kicking yourself if you waited to buy passes.
Day passes for Friday are selling for close $100 after taxes and fees, compared to $68 for Saturday passes. Bluesfest’s website alerts Friday pass-buyers that prices have increased because of heavy demand.
The 22nd edition of Bluesfest runs until Sunday at Lebreton Flats.
