Charges laid in Barrhaven shooting

OTTAWA – Two men have been charged after a police investigation into a shooting in Barrhaven over the weekend.
Officers responded to the 1-100 block of Astoria Crescent around 8 p.m. Sunday, following reports of a shooting.
Witnesses gave police a description of the suspect vehicle, who were then able to locate it nearby, and three men were arrested.
Abdukerim Ibrah Hussen, 21 of Ottawa, faces a number of charges including, possession of a weapon, possession of a loaded firearm, occupying a motor vehicle with a firearm and possession of narcotics.
He is due in court Tuesday.
Edwin Edouard, 21 of Ottawa, is facing one count of drug possession, while the third man was arrested but not charged.
No one was injured in the shooting.
