OTTAWA — For the first time in 13 years, Ottawa will host the Grey Cup.
The announcement was made Sunday night at the Redblacks game at Lansdowne
Mayor Jim Watson said he had been hounding the Grey Cup committee for the past few years to consider the city to host the 105th Grey Cup.
The plan is to extend the Grey Cup into a week-long celebration across the city.
Watson said having the Grey Cup in the city next year will also be a huge economic boost, infusing around $100M into the local economy.
