Police arrest two men in connection to local drug ring bust

OTTAWA – Police have arrested two men in connection to a local drug ring that was supplying Northern Ontario locations with drugs from Ottawa and Toronto.

A three month investigation led to the arrest of five people last week:

* Matthew Dimillo, 26
* Luke McCormick, 23
* Michael Meehan, 22
* David Cholewa, 31
* Melissa Prophet, 23

Khalilulah Iriken, 26, and Alan MacDonald, 24 were still at large, but have now been picked up by police.

In all, more than 75 criminal charges have been laid, including:

-drug trafficking
-possession of a firearm
-possession of a restricted weapon
-possession of weapon dangerous to public
-possession of a firearm obtained by crime and many more

Over the course of the investigation, police say ten search warrants were executed. Six handguns, three submachine guns, and one long gun were seized, along with 2,000 rounds of ammunition. Police also seized two vehicles, $85,000 in Canadian Currency, 58.5 grams of Crack Cocaine, 113 grams of MDPV (bath salts), 229 grams of MDMA (ecstasy), 15.8 grams of Cocaine, 9 grams of Psilocybin, and 125.5 grams of Marijuana.
