Provincial Liberals could see boost in support without Wynne: poll

It’s good news and bad news for the Ontario Liberals in the latest public opinion poll.

The good news? A Mainstreet/Postmedia poll finds Premier Kathleen Wynne’s Liberals could be reelected to a majority government if an election were held today.

The bad news? That would only be the case with a new party leader.

With Wynne as Ontario Premier, the Liberals trail the Progressive Conservatives by 15 per cent. With a new leader, the liberal party would be ahead by four per cent.
