Teacher charged with sexually assaulting student due in court

OTTAWA – An Ottawa Catholic School Board teacher charged with sexually assaulting a student is due in court Tuesday.
Police began investigating after allegations that a female teacher employed by the school board was having a sexual relationship with one of her students.
Jessica Beraldin, 30 of Ottawa, faces charges of sexual assault, sexual exploitation and making sexually explicit material available to a child.
She taught students from grades seven to nine.
In April she was released on bail with conditions. She is to have no contact with the victim and to avoid any person under the age of 16.
Investigators are concerned there could be more victims.
