Costco Barrhaven opens

OTTAWA — Bargain-hunters south of the greenbelt have a new option for shopping.
Costco opened its newest store in Barrhaven, Thursday morning, on Strandherd near Highway 416.
“The opening of this Costco Wholesale is a great example of Ottawa’s booming economy and growth,” said Mayor Jim Watson. “The new Costco is a considerable investment which will provide numerous employment opportunities, strengthen our local economy and contribute to the vibrancy of our City.”
The 148,000-square-foot location will also include a gas station, like its Merivale and Hunt Club location.
Costco is open to members only.
