Peace Tower glows purple to support Shine the Light campaign

OTTAWA – It was quite a sight on Parliament Hill.

In support of the Ottawa Coalition to End Violence Against Women’s Shine the Light campaign, the Peace Tower shone purple Tuesday night to honour the lives of women who have been subjected to abuse.

The campaign aims to raise community awareness of violence against women by turning the city purple during the month of November.

November is woman abuse prevention month in Ontario.
