German bound plane makes emergency landing after bomb threat

A spokesman for the German airline Lufthansa says no explosives were found on a passenger jet that made an emergency landing after a bomb threat.

The Airbus A-330 was on its way from Oman to Germany when the pilot requested a diversion to Kuwait City on Sunday.

Kuwait’s official news agency says nearly 300 passengers were evacuated, and investigators found nothing explosive on board.

The plane was operated by SunExpress on behalf of Eurowings, which is a subsidiary of Lufthansa.
