Man picked up for robbery wanted on murder charges

OTTAWA – A man picked up in connection to a robbery this week was wanted by police for murder.
Police responded to a 911 call about vehicle break and enters on Olympic Way around 1:30 a.m. Thursday. Two men fled the scene then they saw police, and while one was picked up after a short foot chase, the other was tracked by the police K-9 unit and found in a fenced backyard.
Police say one of the men, Keluntung Samura, 19, was wanted on a warrant in connection to the stabbing of a man in the area of Spruce and Rochester streets in the evening hours of January 6.
Samura faces charges of attempted murder, conspiracy to commit an indictable offence, aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, failure to comply with his probation order and failure to comply with recognizance of bail.
Two other men are charged in the stabbing.
