Heavy rain, warm temperatures for first day of March

OTTAWA – March is coming in like a ‘wet lion’, so if the old fable is true, we could see the month go out like a lamb!
Ottawa remains under a special weather statement from Environment Canada for rain, with another 12mm expected Wednesday.
It’s an unusually warm to kick off the month of March, with a potentially record-breaking day on tap.
Wednesday’s forecast high is 7C, while the record 7.3 C was set back on March 4, 2004.
