OTTAWA – Recent rain and spring run-off has led to flooding in the city.
The Rideau River has spilled onto Belmont Avenue in Old Ottawa South, causing local flooding.
Water is about six inches deep at the bottom of Belmont Avenue.
Roger Stevens Drive is also closed between Malakoff and Dwyer Hill Roads due to flooding.
A flood warning, issued by the Rideau Valley Conservation Authority, remains in effect along the Rideau River.
Floodwaters are expected to peak Friday night or early Saturday, with the water receding next week.
