Police seize drugs, firearms after eight-month long investigation

OTTAWA — Police have seized drugs and firearms during search warrants in eight locations across Ottawa.
The investigation began last November, as police started looking into a group of people believed to be trafficking cocaine and counterfeit pills.
The searches happened June 20.
Police seized drugs, chemicals and equipment used to make counterfeit pills, firearms, and ammunition from residences, businesses, and vehicles.
Investigators says the quantity of chemicals seized during the course of the investigation could have been used to make 600,000 counterfeit pills
Four Ottawa residents have been arrested and charged with several offences: Brian Nguyen, 28, Calvin Tan, 24, Nabil Zazay 24, and Allison Hayes, 27.
Two other males, aged 32 and 27, are still outstanding and to be arrested and charged in connection with this investigation.
