Global campaign to raise awareness of EB Simplex

A very rare disease is the focus of a global campaign this week.

Wednesday marks the start of EB Awareness Week.

EB Simplex is a blistering skin condition, and one of the most painful conditions known to modern medicine today.

Debra International, a group founded to raise awareness of the disease, says it wants to create a “butterfly effect” where small gestures have larger effects.

The group is selling butterfly pins to raise awareness of EB — the pins are $5, or 3 for $10.

Click here to get your pin.

Use the hashtags #releaseyourbutterfly, #ebawareness #debracanada.

EB Awareness Week runs through to Halloween.
