Fire crews take down fire in vacant Vanier apartment

OTTAWA – There are no injuries after a fire in a vacant apartment in Vanier late Tuesday night.
Shortly before 10 p.m., fire crews responded to a 911 call reporting smoke and flames coming from an upstairs apartment at 240 Montreal Rd.
The fire, in a second floor apartment, was quickly brought under control.
There is no word yet on what caused the fire or a damage estimate.
