Guns and Gangs Unit investigating shots fired on Dynes Rd.

Ottawa Police Service's Guns and Gangs Unit is investigating reports of shots fired in the Hogsback area.

Police report the incident occurred at 8:45 p.m., Saturday near 900 Dynes Road, in Ottawa's south-end.

In a media release, police say they received numerous calls in relation to shots being fired in the area of Morley Blvd. and Prince of Wales Dr. Adding that witnesses say they saw a vehicle involved in the incident, and could see a male running away from the scene.

A K-9 unit was deployed in attempt to track suspects, results were negative.

No injuries have been reported, and no suspects are in custody.

This marks the city's 26th shooting of 2018.
