1310 NEWS wins award for flood coverage

Ottawa's award-winning news team has picked up another piece of hardware, for its coverage of last spring's Ottawa River floods.

The Radio Television Digital News Association awarded 1310 NEWS its Gord Sinclair Award for live special events.

The flood coverage, hosted by Mark Sutcliffe, won against two other finalists.

Two other entries from 1310 NEWS' flood coverage were also finalists, including for best newscast.

This regional award win means the entry will now be considered for the national award, next month, in Toronto.
