Crews tackle basement fire in the Glebe

There were no injuries reported after a fire in the Glebe Tuesday night.

Just after 8 p.m., crews responded to a 911 call reporting smoke coming from the basement of a four-storey, multi-unit apartment building at 350 Clemow Avenue.

A fire was confirmed in the living room of a basement apartment.

The fire was brought under control within about 15 minutes and was contained to the basement unit. 

One man has been displaced and damage is pegged around $50,000. 

There is no word yet on a cause.
