Ottawa police seize $240K worth of drugs in Gloucester bust

Three people are facing a number of drug-related charges after police uncovered marijuana, hash, cocaine, oxycodone, other pills, weapons and more at a home on Bathgate Avenue.
Officers from the Ottawa Police Service Guns and Gangs Section and the OPP Biker Enforcement Unit executed a search warrant on Monday, just south of Montreal Road.
Police said the joint investigation was focused on a drug trafficking network.
All of the drugs seized have a total street value of over $240,000:
– Cocaine
– Crack Cocaine
– Cannabis Marijuana
– Cannabis Resin (Hashish)
– Cannabis Marijuana (Shatter)
– LSD tabs
– Psilocybin
– Hydromorphone
– Oxycodone
– Crystal Meth and Meth Pills
Other items seized by police include:
– Brass Knuckles, Baton and Ceramic Plated Body Armour
– Money Counter
– Digital Scales
– Drug Packaging
– Hydraulic Press
– Cocaine Mould for Hydraulic Press
– Vacuum Sealer machine
– Ammunition 37 x 7.62 x 25 cal
– Canadian Currency
– Hells Angels Support clothing
– Two vehicles
Daryl Moxley, 54, Cecil Fraser, 55, and James Purchase, 52, all from Ottawa are jointly charged with:
– Unlawfully Produce Schedule I Substance
– Possess Schedule I Substance for Trafficking (10 counts)
– Possess Schedule II Substance for Trafficking more than 3 KG
– Possess Schedule II Substance/Cannabis Resin or Cannabis (Marihuana) for Trafficking/less than 3 KG (five counts)
– Possess Schedule III Substance for Trafficking (two counts)
– Possess Proceeds of Property or Thing Obtained by Crime for Trafficking/Exceeding $5000
– Possess Property or Thing Obtained by Crime for Trafficking/Not Exceeding $5000
Moxley has been further charged with:
– Possess Firearm While Prohibited under the Criminal Code of Canada (three counts)
Fraser is further charged with:
– Possess Schedule I Substance for Trafficking (CDSA)
– Possess a Firearm While Prohibited under the Criminal Code of Canada (two counts)
Moxley and Fraser are expected in court on Tuesday, while and Purchase was released on a promise to appear at a later date.
