One person dead in Barrhaven crash

Ottawa Paramedics confirmed late Wednesday afternoon a woman was killed in a crash in Barrhaven.

The crash, around 4:45pm involved a car and a dump truck on Moodie Drive north of Fallowfield Road.

Ottawa Fire Service crews worked to extricate the woman as paramedics fought to resuscitate her.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Moodie Drive was closed between Fallowfield Road and west Hunt Club Drive for the investigation.
