Three people charged in violent South Stormont home robbery

Ontario Provincial Police have arrested three people following a robbery at a home in Collins Road, between Chesterville and Lunenburg.
Police say suspects, armed and wearing disguises, broke into the house and assaulted the two adult victims with a weapon, Thursday, December 6, at 12:16 a.m.
The suspects stole items from the house before fleeing the scene in a vehicle.
Officers responding to the call found the vehicle a short distance away with three people inside.
Further investigation showed that the driver was under the influence of alcohol.
The two break-in and assault victims were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries, and have since been released.
Dennis Gowan, 55, Blake Woods, 25 and Clarissa Square, 25 all of Cornwall, were arrested and charged with breaking and entering.
All three were held in custody and are scheduled to appear Thursday at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall.
The investigation is continuing and additional charges are pending.
