The capital has generated another player to make it on to Jeopardy — a policy analyst with the federal government who's been watching the show since he was a child.
Zorn Pink completed a two-day run on the iconic game show in an episode that aired Tuesday night.
If you're going to make it on to Jeopardy, there's no question that you have to know your stuff.
“But honestly — and the crew was the first to tell us this — some of it is luck,” said Pink. “You show up and you're an art major, and there's an art category.”
Pink won his first episode, but came in third place in the episode that aired Tuesday night.
“Even if I had gone on and lost the first night, it would have been a dream come true,” Pink told Ottawa Today with Mark Sutcliffe on 1310 NEWS. He says there's nothing like the experience of being on the game show he's watched for so many years.
“You shout answers from your couch and all of a sudden, you're there, and can actually ring in,” Pink said.
Pink's episodes were recorded back-to-back on the same day in November, but he had to stay tight-lipped about his performance until they aired.
Pink isn't the only Jeopardy player from the capital — Myfanwy Davies came just shy of defeating returning champion Alex Chu, who had an 11-game winning streak on the show, in 2014.
