Targeted shooting in Vanier sends one man to hospital

A man has been injured, in what police are calling a targeted shooting at a Burger King in Vanier. 

Ottawa Police said, multiple shots were fired around 6 p.m. on Wednesday after three males entered the restaurant at 199 Montreal Rd. and engaged in a verbal confrontation with the victim. 

The man, who was shot in the restaruant, was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. 

Bullets also struck a car as it went through the drive thru, but there's no reported injuries for anyone in that vehicle. 

No arrests have been made, but police are searching for three suspects believed to be involved in the shooting. 

The Burger King was closed for the investigation.
