Charges laid after cocaine and crystal meth uncovered in Edwardsburgh

Two Brockville residents are facing drug-related charges after a traffic stop in Edwardsburgh.
Ontario Provincial Police officers stopped on a vehicle heading toward Spencerville, on Smith Road in Edwardsburgh, on July 5. During the stop, they seized a significant amount drugs, believed to be cocaine, crystal meth and methamphetamine tablets.
Michael Telford, 37, and Brittany McParlan, 30, were arrested and charged with the following offences:
- Possession of Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine contrary to CDSA section 5(2)
- Possession of Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of Trafficking – other drugs contrary to CDSA section 5(2) – Three Counts
- Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000 contrary to s.354(1)(a) Criminal Code
They were arrested and transported to the Grenville County detachment.
McParlan was released on a promise to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brockville on the August 16. Telford was held for bail.
